About Us

Podere Poggio ai Cieli is a family run farming business.  The farm business is managed by two sisters and a brother: Marta, Michela and Leonardo. Together with the help of Stefano our valuable and qualified collaborator.

Our Grandfather, Serafino Lucii, was a mediator of well known wines from the town of Certaldo and surrounding villages where he acted as a go-between with the buying and selling of wines.

Our father, Libanio, started out young boy in this activity, moving round on his Lambretta (scooter) the whole of Tuscany.  During the 1970’s he decided to commit himself to the cultivation of the vines and the production of wine. A few years later he started the construction of the wine cellar, the main business, which is about a kilometre from the farm building.

Over the years our father’s business has gradually grown and we have assisted with whatever little help was needed.

In 2005 we took over the management of Podere Poggio ai Cieli farm holiday, already part of the family activity since 1997, and the rest is history!

What is the reason which encouraged us to make this choice?  It’s simple really, we wanted the public to know about our work, our business and our traditions as well as hosting guests in this wonderful and generous land whoever might be curious about it.
